Chapter 105:
Streams & Wetlands
If you are planning to have any activities take place in, along, over, through, or under a wetland or within 50 feet of a stream channel, then a general permit under the Chapter 105 program could be what you need!

Under PA Code, Title 25, Chapter 105, we are able to acknowledge and issue a variety of permits depending on the project in question. Check out the link included below for a summary of general permits!

Why Get a General Permit?
The purpose behind general permits is to provide assistance in the regulation of water obstructions and encroachments within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The goal is to protect the health, safety, welfare, and property of the people. In addition, permits under Chapter 105 prevent the unreasonable interference with water flow and protect navigation. The overarching goal with any permit or E&S plan that we issue through our delegations is to conserve and protect our natural resources, such as water quality and the carrying capacity of our watercourses.
