Bio:
Kate, a native of Elk County, joined the Elk County Conservation District as the Resource Conservation Technician in 2014. Prior to working for the District, Kate worked for the Army Corps of Engineers at East Branch Lake and earned her Bachelors of Science degree with a concentration in Geology from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Kate is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and was promoted to District Manager in 2019. She loves all things "Elk County" and can be regularly found immersed in some outdoor activity or another. She loves spending time with her family, dogs, and friends enjoying all that northcentral/northwestern Pennsylvania has to offer.

Micaela joined the Conservation District in June of 2021. Micaela earned her degree in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University. In her free time, she enjoys fly fishing and spending time outdoors.

Alyson joined the Elk County Conservation District in March of 2023. A native of Elk County, Alyson received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Studies from Edinboro University. Beginning August 2022, Alyson began volunteering as a leader for The Girl Scouts of America.

Juliana (or Juli) joined the Elk County Conservation District in November 2023. She received a degree in Environmental Communication, with a Minor in Biology from Saint Francis University. In her free time, Juli enjoys baking, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the outdoors.

Jacob comes to us at the District in June of 2024 but from a slightly different background. After working as mainly a woodshop teacher for ten years he decided it was time for a change. Using the skills he has from that field aids him in our construction, lumber and permitting needs. His degree is in K-12 Grade Technology Education from CALU and he is an avid hunter and fisherman that has plenty of stories to tell.

Bio:
Carole Johnson, an Elk County native, joined the Elk County Conservation District and the Elk County Community Recycling Center team as an Administrative Assistant in December of 2021. Previously, she worked at St. Marys Stone Mulch and More as their office manager and as an equipment operator for over nine years. Carole also has her QuickBooks Pro Advisor Bookkeeping certification and came to us with over 15 years of experience. In her free time, Carole enjoys traveling, working in her landscaping, ATV riding, and spending time with her family.
