Agricultural Conservation
Assistance Program

The Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) was created through the Clean Streams Fund established by the FY2022-2023 Pennsylvania State Budget. ACAP provides financial and technical assistance for the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) on agricultural operations within the Commonwealth.

ACAP Project - Elk County, PA

Qualified ACAP applicants must have appropriate farm plans for manure and sediment (ex. Nutrient management plan, manure management plan, or equivalent AND an AG Conservation Plan, or AG E&S Plan). Farmers should contact the District to schedule a site visit prior to applying for ACAP funding.

  • Rooftop Gutters

  • Animal Heavy Use Areas 

  • Watering Systems 

  • Grassed Waterways 

  • Streambank Fencing 

  • Access Roads 

  • Stream Crossings

  • Composting Facilities  

  • Manure Stacking Facilities

  • Riparian Buffers
